Candice Lynn Miller Pleads Guilty to 1^st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance

Today, before the Honorable Andrew Peterson, Candice Lynn Miller, 60, pleaded guilty to First Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, announced St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki. During the plea hearing Ms. Miller asked for an interim commitment, meaning that she would be directly transferred to prison pending sentencing.

During her plea, Ms. Miller admitted to possessing  at least 100 grams of methamphetamine on May 17^th, 2026, when investigators executed a search warrant at Ms. Miller’s Gilbert, Minnesota residence. Pursuant to the plea agreement, Ms. Miller is free to argue for a departure from the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines while the State is able to seek the maximum sentence under the same guidelines, which is anticipated to be 78 months.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 17^th, 2026, at 1:30PM.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant St. Louis County Attorney Chris Florey.
