Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse Supports Special Olympics Athletes
Members of the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and Duluth Police Department will join Texas Roadhouse for a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics Minnesota on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 902 Mall Drive, Duluth, MN 55811.
During the event, law enforcement officers will join Texas Roadhouse staff in serving and interacting with customers while helping raise funds that provide year-round opportunities for Special Olympics athletes. The money raised through Tip-A-Cop helps fund programs that directly benefit athletes, including sports training and competition, equipment, coaching, travel, and tournaments.
The impact extends beyond the playing field. Fundraising supports Healthy Athletes programs that provide free health screenings and education, fitness and wellness initiatives, athlete leadership opportunities, and Unified Sports, which bring athletes with and without intellectual disabilities together as teammates. For the athletes, these programs offer much more than a chance to play sports. They provide opportunities to build confidence, develop friendships, improve their health, learn leadership skills, and experience the pride and accomplishment that comes from competition.
The Tip-A-Cop event also provides law enforcement with an opportunity to strengthen its connection with the community. This is about much more than raising money; every dollar raised helps provide a Special Olympics athlete with the opportunity to train, compete, build confidence, and know their community supports them. We’re proud to partner with Texas Roadhouse and our community to make those opportunities possible.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office encourages community members to come out, enjoy a meal at Texas Roadhouse, and support Special Olympics Minnesota. When you support Tip-A-Cop, you’re not just leaving a tip, you’re helping an athlete reach their potential.
