Motorcycle Vs. Deer
On August 31st, 2026, just before 8:00pm, emergency responders were dispatched to the area of Munger Shaw Road and West Bowman Lake Road in Grand Lake Township for the report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a deer. It was determined the motorcycle was southbound on Munger Shaw Road when the collision with the deer on the roadway occurred.
The rider of the motorcycle had been wearing a helmet and was transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Responding to this incident were St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Grand Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, and the St. Louis County Rescue Squad.
