Cabin Fire
On August 25th, 2026, at 7:54am, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, along with numerous volunteer fire departments, responded to the 11000 Block of Nett Lake Road, in Leiding Township due to a reported cabin on fire.
Initial investigation determinations are that the cabin was struck by lightning, which caused the fire. At the time of the reported fire, severe thunderstorms with lighting, were stretched over most of Northern St. Louis County.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Orr Fire Dept., Boise Forte FD, Buyck FD, Cook FD, Bearville FD and Kabetogama FD.
