Two-Vehicle Crash in Rice Lake
On August 19, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Jean Duluth Road and West Tischer Road in Rice Lake.
One person involved in the crash was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is believed to have occurred when one of the drivers failed to yield the right of way. The incident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
This was the second crash in Rice Lake today at a stop-sign-controlled intersection. The Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists to remain alert, stay aware of their surroundings, and keep their focus on the road
Responding agencies included Rice Lake Fire, Mayo Ambulance, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, and St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
