Structure Fire in Gnesen Township

On Monday, August 3^rd, 2026, at 4:24 P.M. area fire departments responded to a report of a structure fire at 4472 Normanna Road in Gnesen Township.

Landscape work was being done at the time using a propane torch which is believed to be the cause of the fire. The structure sustained moderate damage as a result of the fire.

The structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
