National Night Out event includes health fair in White Township
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and White Township are coming together to host a combined National Night Out party and health fair. Activities will be held at the Loon Lake Community Center, 3816 Highway 100 in Aurora, on Tuesday, August 4, from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
The event is free to attend, and all are welcome. Among the confirmed activities, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office will have: squad cars, a K-9 demonstration, St. Louis County 911 dispatching center, a drone team demo, and the Rescue Squad. The event will include Life Link III helicopter landing (TBD). Numerous local EMS and Fire Departments and other community leaders will also participate.
The Health Fair will take place inside the community center featuring a variety of vendors with services related to healthy living for all ages from early childhood to seniors.
The National Night Out event will also include a free community meal while the supplies last. Raffle drawings, magic by Amazing Charles, child-friendly activities including a bouncy house, plus the Eveleth Elks will be handing out free school backpacks while supplies last, and more.
National Night Out is an annual celebration on the first Tuesday in August held by neighborhoods across the country that strives to promote community and strengthen relationships between citizens and the public safety departments that serve them.
