Michael Allen Hanson Sentenced
Court file #69DU-CR-25-2831
Today in St. Louis County District Court in Duluth, Chief Judge Leslie E. Beiers sentenced Michael Allen Hanson, 41, to 150 months in prison with lifetime conditional release for three counts of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for multiple acts of sexual contact with a juvenile, announced County Attorney Kim Maki.
In April, after a three-day trial and five hours of deliberation, a jury found Mr. Hanson guilty of committing multiple acts of sexual contact with a juvenile. Mr. Hanson’s conviction involved sexual contact with a minor under the age of 13, with whom Mr. Hanson had a significant relationship, that occurred between September 2018 and March 2020.
Mr. Hanson was previously convicted in 2005 of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Third Degree in Court File No. 69DU-CR-05-354.
“Mr. Hanson’s sentence reflects the seriousness of his actions and the harm they caused,” said County Attorney Maki. “We hope this sentence will bring the victim and her family closure and healing.”

The case was prosecuted by Assistant St Louis County Attorney Claire Klein.
