Waasa Township Garage fire

On 6/18/26 at 0632 hours the St. Louis County Sheriff's office received a report of a detached garage fire on the Salo Road in Waasa Township Embarrass, MN. A detached pole building style metal garage was burning with heavy equipment nearby belonging to the homeowner. No injuries reported and the garage and contents appear to be a total loss. Fire crews responded quickly and were able to knock down any running fire. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Assisting agencies Embarrass, Babbitt, Pike Sandy Britt, and Tower Fire Departments.
