Three Vehicle Crash in Canosia Twp
On June 15th, 2026, at approximately 12:56 PM law enforcement and EMS responded to a report of a personal injury vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 53 and Midway Road, in Canosia Township.
Initial information indicates that one vehicle was southbound on Highway 53 and turning onto northbound Midway Road. While making the turn the vehicle was struck by another vehicle traveling northbound Highway 53. One of the vehicles involved in the initial crash then struck a Minnesota State Patrol Squad that was stationary facing southbound Midway Road at a red light.
Three occupants from the northbound vehicle were transported by Mayo Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The incident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
