Drug bust

On May 16 and 17^th, 2026, members of the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and LSVOTF executed a series of search warrants in rural St. Louis County, City of Virgina and the City of Gilbert.

During the executions of the search warrants, several individuals were taken into custody and lodged at the St. Louis County Jail in Virginia for various 1^st degree-controlled substance crimes.

The search warrants were the results of a long-term drug investigation conducted by members of LSVOTF on the iron range.

As a result of the search warrants, approximately 19.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.2 pounds of cocaine and $21,761.00 was seized.

Defendants are expected to be heard in St. Louis County District Court Virginia in the next few days.

The LSVOTF was assisted by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Virginia Police Department and Gilbert Police Department
