Community Connect event happening in Hibbing on May 13

Community Connect - the event designed as a one-stop-shop providing a variety of free resources for people and families of all ages and abilities - is coming to back to Hibbing.

The event will be held on Wednesday, May 13, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Hibbing Memorial Building, 400 East 23rd Street in Hibbing. As the name suggests, Community Connect helps connect people to resources available from agencies and non-profits in the community.

This Community Connect event will offer a free meal, hygiene items; housing supports; older adult resources, children and family services, health insurance information, mental health and substance use disorder resources, warrant resolutions; vaccine and disease education, and more.

Arrowhead Transit will provide free transportation to and from the event on existing routes.

This Community Connect is co-sponsored by St. Louis County Public Health, the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, Fairview, Essentia Health, AEOA, Medica, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
