Crash involving Pickup Truck and Plow Truck
On April 3rd, 2026, at approximately 750AM the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the report of a head on crash involving a county plow truck and a pickup truck in the 4900 block of Fish Lake Rd in Fredenberg Township.
The county plow truck was driven by one plow operator and had no other occupants. The pickup truck was driven by a 28-year-old male of Fredenberg Township. The truck also had a dog in it.
The male in the pickup was transported via LifeLink Helicopter for life threatening injuries. The dog did not have any apparent major injuries and was returned to a family member.
Upon initial investigation alcohol use is believed to be a contributing factor of the pickup driver. The crash is being investigated by the Minnesota State Patrol and the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
The 4900 block of Fish Lake Rd Road is currently closed and will be for several hours.
The following agencies responded to the crash: Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota DNR, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Fredenberg Fire, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Mayo Ambulance, Gnesen Fire, Grand Lake Fire, and LifeLink.
