69DU-CR-26-499
Yesterday, before the Honorable Shawn B. Reed, Johnathon Allen Haag, 28, pleaded guilty to two counts of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and two counts of Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, announced St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki. During the plea hearing, Haag took responsibility for sexually assaulting four different minor females on four different occasions. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Mr. Haag will be sentenced to 360 months in prison. Pursuant to Minnesota sentencing law, Mr. Haag will be eligible for parole after serving two-thirds of his sentence (240 months), unless otherwise modified by the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office credits the successful prosecution of this case to the exhaustive investigation by both the Fond Du Lac Tribal Police Department (an entity of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa) and Federal Bureau of Investigation. This resolution was also made possible due to assistance from the United States Attorney’s Office and First Witness Child Advocacy Center.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant St. Louis County Attorneys Jacqueline Primeau and Allison Cogbill. Sentencing is scheduled for July 9, 2026.
