Barn destroyed by fire
On February 1, 2026 at approximately 2:03 PM, 911 received a call indicating that a barn, located on a vacant property, was on fire in the 7500 Block of County Road 226 located in Meadowlands Township.
The Meadowlands fire department, law-enforcement, and other area emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
Upon their arrival, the barn had already been completely destroyed by flames and had collapsed upon itself.
This incident remains under investigation by the St Louis County Sheriffs Office.
