Publisher Clearing House Scam Alert!
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office has been alerted of numerous Publish Clearing House Scams in the past week. Residents have been receiving a phone call from individuals claiming that that they have won a cash sum and often a brand-new vehicle. The caller requests that they send money to cover fees in order to receive their winnings. They attempt to get these fees through gift cards or wire transfers.
The Sheriff's Office urges residents not to send any money and not to provide any personal information if requested over the phone. If personal or banking information has been sent, please reach out to your banking institution to ensure your accounts security.
