ARROWHEAD LIBRARY SYSTEM GOVERNING BOARD
The St. Louis County Board of Commissioners will be making one appointment for a City of Duluth Representative to the Arrowhead Library System Governing Board for a term expiring December 31, 2026.
ARROWHEAD LIBRARY SYSTEM GOVERNING BOARD – One (1) Vacancy
TERM: Term expiring December 31, 2026
QUALIFICATIONS: Resident of the City of Duluth with an interest in improving library services in Northeastern Minnesota
FUNCTIONS: Provide policy direction to the Arrowhead Library System administrative staff; represent the interests of rural citizens and member public libraries while seeking to improve library services throughout the region; adopt and provide fiscal oversight for the annual Arrowhead Library System operating budget.
MEETINGS: The board meets at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday of the month six times each year (February, April, June, August, October, December). Board members annually elected to the five-person Executive Committee meet an additional four times per year. There are no regularly scheduled Governing Board or Executive Committee meetings in January or July. Meetings are held at the ALS Headquarters in Mountain Iron.
