Pequaywan Township Structure Fire
On 12/04/2025, at approximately 6:55pm, area fire departments were dispatched to the address of 8885 Pequaywan Lake Road for the report of a structure fire. The homeowner called 911 to report the fire which was first discovered near the wood burning stove in the basement of the residence.
The homeowner was able to evacuate the residence with his two dogs and is being assessed for smoke inhalation. The residence sustained heavy damages as a result of the fire, and the homeowner will be staying with family.
Area fire departments from Pequaywan, Lakewood, Normanna, Air Guard, Rice Lake and Brimson Townships all assisted, along with Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
