Structure Fire in Alborn Township
On November 22nd, 2025 at 0224 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a structure fire in the 8600 block of Ostman Road in Alborn Township. It was reported that a shed was engulfed in flames and the flames were spreading to the tree line nearby.
As deputies arrived on scene, they observed a fully engulfed shed along with trees burning nearby. The fire was close to the railroad tracks operated by Burlington Northern so train traffic in the area was halted while area fire departments extinguished the flames. No people are animals were reported to have been hurt and the fire did not appear suspicious in nature. Residents on scene suspected a wood burning stove to be the source of ignition and there was no insurance on the shed, which was a total loss.
No foul play is suspected.
