Jonathan Thomas Hill Sentenced

Court File # 69DU-CR-24-103

On November 21, 2025, the Honorable Dale Harris (serving in his capacity as Senior Judge), sentenced Jonathan Thomas Hill, 54, of St. Paul, to 144 months in prison, announced St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki.  On September 29, Mr. Hill pleaded guilty to Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree for multiple acts of sexual abuse of a single minor victim under the age of 16 that he had a significant relationship with.

In June of 2023 the victim reported to law enforcement that he was sexually abused by Mr. Hill multiple times between the years of 2001-2009, at a residence in Duluth.

“This sentence acknowledges the profound harm caused by years of abuse by Mr. Hill,” said County Attorney Maki. “We commend the victim for his bravery for reporting the abuse to law enforcement, even years following the abuse. Removing offenders from our community is essential to public safety and sends a strong message to others who would offend.  We stand firm in our commitment to protect children, pursue justice for victims, and ensure that those who abuse trust are held fully accountable.”

The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office thanks the Duluth Police Department for their hard work and investigation of this matter.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant County Attorney Vicky Wanta.
