Jennifer Ann Schostag Sentenced
Court File # 69HI-CR-24-195
On November 20, 2025, the Honorable Bhupesh Pattni sentenced Jennifer Ann Schostag, 50, of Anoka, to 71 months in prison, announced St. Louis County Attorney Kim Maki. Ms. Schostag was previously found guilty by a jury on October 30, 2025, of First-Degree Sale of Methamphetamine and First-Degree Possession of Methamphetamine following a four-day trial. In accordance with the law, Ms. Schostag was sentenced for only one count. The sentence pronounced was within the presumptive sentence prescribed by the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines. The jury also returned a special finding, holding that Ms. Schostag had sold 100 grams or more of the controlled substance at issue, which mandated a sentence greater than 65 months.
“The sentence imposed on Ms. Schostag is not only a punishment for the crimes she committed but also serves as a message to our community that we will hold drug dealers accountable for their actions,” said County Attorney Maki. “The great work of law enforcement, intercepting drugs before they reach our community, is one of the most effective ways to protect public safety. Every shipment they stop prevents addiction, violence, and loss. Our commitment to disrupting these supply chains and holding those who traffic narcotics accountable is ultimately a commitment to safeguarding families and strengthening the wellbeing of our entire community.”
The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office credits the Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for the successful outcome in the case.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant County Attorney Jeff Vlatkovich.
