Cherry Twp garage fire a total loss
On November 16th, 2025, at approximately 1:30 A.M. the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was notified of a garage fire in the 10000 Blk of Hayes Rd., in Cherry Township located East of the City of Hibbing.
Upon arrival, emergency responders observed the garage to be fully engulfed in flames. All occupants of the adjacent house, as well as their pets were clear of the area and safe from harm.
The initial investigation indicates that the fire started from a barrel stove in the garage that had been used previously in the night.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Chisholm Police Department, Cherry Fire Department, Clinton Fire Department, and the Buhl Fire Department.
