On October 12, 2025 at approximately 2:12 AM, area first responders and law enforcement were dispatched to the report of a barn on fire in the 8000 Block of the North Dart Rd located in Meadowlands Township.   

Fire crews on scene and were able to quickly extinguish the fire. The metal building described as a barn sustained what is believed to be heavy interior damage.  

It appears that sparks from an outside boiler may have ignited bird nests located in the rafters of the barn causing the fire. 

There were no reported injuries. 

The incident remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshalls Office and St Louis County Sheriffs Office.
