Community Connect event happening in Mountain Iron on November 5

Community Connect - the event designed as a one-stop-shop providing a variety of free services for people experiencing homelessness or economic hardship - is coming to Mountain Iron.

The next Community Connect event will be held on Wednesday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mountain Iron Community Center, 8586 Enterprise Drive South in Mountain Iron. As the name suggests, Community Connect helps connect people to resources available from agencies and non-profits in the community.

This Community Connect event will offer a free meal, hygiene items; housing supports; older adult resources, children and family services, health insurance information, mental health and substance use disorder resources, warrant resolutions; vaccine and disease education, and more.

Arrowhead Transit will provide free transportation to and from the event on existing routes.

This Community Connect is co-sponsored by St. Louis County Public Health, Fairview, Essentia Health, AEOA, Medica, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
