Residential Burglary Suspects in Custody
On September 13, 2025, The St Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the 6000 Block area of Olson Drive for a report of a home and barn that had been burglarized.
The property owners had been out of town overnight and upon returning home, they discovered the front door of their residence and barn had been kicked in. A significant amount of damage had occurred due to a discharged fire extinguisher, broken glass, dishes and various other items. 3 firearms and ammunition were also stolen.
After preliminary evidence had been obtained on scene, the suspect vehicle was located within a short distance from the residence. The driver attempted to evade law enforcement but was eventually apprehended near the Buzz Ryan Road. All 3 firearms have been recovered as well as other stolen property.
The driver of the vehicle and passenger were arrested for 1st Degree Burglary and lodged at the St Louis County Jail in Duluth.
The owner of the residence and the suspect did not have any previous contacts, and the property was not specifically targeted. It is believed that this was isolated incident.
