National Night Out event to bring together residents and responders from Clinton, Cherry, and McDavitt Townships

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with three townships - Clinton, Cherry, and McDavitt - to host a memorable National Night Out event. Activities will be held at the Clinton Community Center, 8907 Hwy 37, Iron, on Tuesday August 5, from 4:30-8 p.m. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this free, family-friendly event.

The event will include a free community barbecue, plus the Eveleth Elks will be providing free back-to-school supplies - while supplies last.

St. Louis County Sheriff’s deputies, the Sheriff's Volunteer Rescue Squad members and other local first responders will be present with squad cars and other vehicles to tour. Local fire departments will hold their second annual Water Wars competition. Other activities planned include demonstrations by a K-9 team and the Sheriff's drone team, and a Life Link III helicopter landing,

Additionally, there will be youth and adult drawings, magic by Amazing Charles, and other child-friendly fun, plus visits by various community leaders.

National Night Out is an annual celebration on the first Tuesday in August held by neighborhoods across the country that strives to promote community and strengthen relationships between citizens and their city’s public safety departments.
