ATV Crash
On June 14th, 2025 at 1530 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the 4800 Block of Voss Road in rural Mountain Iron for the report of an ATV crash. The caller reported a single ATV crash with one unresponsive occupant.
Deputies and medical personnel arrived on scene to find an unresponsive 41 year old male from Mountain Iron. After speaking with a witness, it was determined the male was traveling at a high rate of speed. The male attempted to navigate a turn into his driveway and overturned the ATV. Medical personnel treated the male on scene who was later air lifted to a medical facility with life threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
The name of the male is being withheld pending further investigation and notification to family.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was assisted by numerous first responders, ambulance services, fire departments, and air medical.
