Two vehicle crash on Jean Duluth Rd - Rice Lake
On May 22, 2025 at approximately 04:05PM a motor vehicle crash was reported just south on West Tisher Rd on Jean Duluth Rd in the city of Rice Lake. Sheriff's deputies responded along with the Rice Lake Fire Department and the St. Louis County Sheriff's Volunteer Rescue Squad.
A 2000 Ford Explorer was northbound Jean Duluth Rd (occupied by two people) and a 2014 Subaru Outback was southbound (just one person). Witnesses observed the Subaru cross the centerline and strike the Ford head on. The driver of the Subaru and passenger of the Explorer were treated on scene and transported to the hospital by Mayo Ambulance. The driver of the Subaru showed signs of alcohol impairment, and a DUI investigation is underway.
