ATV crash with injuries
On April 22nd, 2025, at approximately 6:11pm, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to an ATV accident with injuries, in the 6300 block of Eshquaguma Road, located south of Biwabik. A 21-year-old Chisholm man had been found next to the ATV he had been riding and had sustained injuries to his head and a leg. The driver had not been wearing a helmet, at the time of the crash. The driver was airlifted to a Duluth hospital, due to the injuries. The male was conscious and talking with 1st Responders on scene, as they provided him medical attention.
The Lakeland Fire Dept, Biwabik Township Fire Dept., Biwabik Ambulance Service, Hoyt Lakes Ambulance Service, the St. Louis County Rescue Squad and Lifelink Helicopter also responded to the accident scene.
