Garage Fire
On February 18th, 2025, at 5:13 pm, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Central Lakes Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 7400 Block of Wilson Road due to a reported garage fire. The garage was a larger, Morton-building type garage, unattached from the house. The garage and contents were a total loss.
The Central Lakes Fire Department was assisted by 9 other area fire departments. One person was transported to the Virginia hospital, due to smoke inhalation. It is believed that the fire started as a result of gasoline accidently being ignited, while a wood stove was being lit. The Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office was notified.
