Logging truck versus SUV sends one to the hospital

On February 15, 2025 at approximately 1402 hours, area first responders and law enforcement were dispatched to the report of a two-vehicle accident on the Sheep Ranch Road, located approximately 25 north of Orr, Minnesota.

It was learned that a Toyota Highlander had been involved in a low-speed T-bone type, side swiping collision with a tractor-trailer hauling logs at the intersection of Fawn Creek Road. The Highlander contained 4 occupants and the logging truck, just the driver.

The passenger side door panel of the Highlander was sheared off as a result of the collision and the front seat passenger, a 36-year-old female from International Falls, MN sustained injury. The other 3 occupants in the Highlander and the driver of the logging truck did not report being injured.

The injured female was transported to the Cook Hospital by the International Falls ambulance.

The condition of her injury is unknown at this time.

The accident remains under investigation by St. Louis County Sheriff’s office.
