Snowmobile accident with injuries

 

On December 19th, 2024, at 1950 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a snowmobile accident on Lake Vermillion in Greenwood Township. Frist responders were requested to respond to the 1800 Block of Everett Bay Road. 

A 69 year old male from Tower was the lone occupant. The male was traveling on the Lake when he hit the brakes and fell off his machine. Visibility appears to be the primary factor. The male was transported by ambulance to a medical facility with non-life threatening injuries. 

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Greenwood Fire Department, Greenwood First Responders, Breitung Fire Department, Tower Fire Department, Tower Ambulance, and Virginia Ambulance responded to assist.
