On 12/17/24 the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office assisted Bois Forte Tribal Police with a Hit and Run accident resulting in the death of an adult female on Lake Vermilion Reservation Road near Fortune Bay Resort and Casino within the Bois Forte Reservation. Jurisdiction of this incident lies with Bois Forte and the FBI and is being investigated by the Bois Forte Police Department and the FBI. Any information, including tips or reward inquiries related to the incident should be directed to Bois Forte Police Department and the FBI.
