St. Louis County Public Works to present preliminary layout for County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 100 in Aurora

St. Louis County Public Works staff have completed the corridor study for County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 100 in Aurora, and will hold a public meeting to present the preliminary layout. The meeting will be Thursday, November 21, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Aurora Community Center, 15 West 1st Avenue North. The meeting also will be available to view virtually.

The County has been working in partnership with the City of Aurora to conduct the study of an L-shaped segment of CSAH 100, which is also known as 3rd Avenue North and Main Street, from approximately a quarter mile east of Highway 135 to Highway 110. The study included evaluating options for the intersection of Main Street and 3rd Avenue North in downtown Aurora.

The preliminary layout was presented to the Aurora City Council and approved last month. Following this public meeting, county engineers will move into the design phase of the project, which is scheduled for construction in 2026. Using funding from the State, the City of Aurora will be replacing utilities, while the County reconstructs the road.
