Mobile home fire

On November 8th, 2024 at approximately 2140 hours, the St. Louis County Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding a mobile home on fire in McDavitt Township. The caller received 2nd hand information that a relatives mobile home was on fire. 

St. Louis County Deputies and local Fire Departments responded to the scene. The home owner was at another location nearby when they observed the flames. It was reported the home did not have power and it is unknown if the wood stove was lit. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office with assistance from the MN State Fire Marshal's Office. 

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the McDavitt Fire Department, Clinton Fire Department, Cherry Fire Department, and Central Lakes Fire Department.
