Two Vehicle Double Fatality
On October 24th, 2024, at approximately 0851hrs the St. Louis County Dispatch Center received a report of a two-vehicle crash in the 9100 Blk of the Biss Rd. in UT60R18.
A witness to the accident reported that Driver #1 (a 76yo male) was traveling E/B on Biss road while Driver #2 (a 69yo male) was traveling W/B, both in pickup trucks. Driver #1 appeared to have drifted off to the S/B shoulder, overcorrected and continued across the centerline striking Driver #2's vehicle.
Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene. The names of the involved are being withheld pending family notification.
The Minnesota State Patrol has been requested to reconstruct the scene and is assisting the Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
Additional assisting agencies Include: Pike FD and First responders, Gilbert FD, Virginia Ambulance, and Life Link air medical.
