Garage fire in Midway Township
On April 14, 2024 at 1529 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a report of a detached garage fire in the 5500 block of Pine Hill Road in Midway Township where it was reported a garage was on fire and it was starting to spread towards the house. Upon arrival of the first fire units, the detached garage was a complete loss. The residence was extinguished and two dogs were let out and were in good health. No one was on scene at the time of the fire. The homeowners were contacted and arrived at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation however at this time it does not appear suspicious in nature.
