County to present Public Health Achievement Awards at April 2 Board Meeting

Two local agencies and two individuals will be honored with Public Health Achievement Awards for their work to improve the health of individuals and communities in St. Louis County. The awards will be presented by the St. Louis County Board and the county's Public Health Division during the St. Louis County Board Meeting on April 2 at 10 a.m. in the County Board Room at the Courthouse in Duluth. The meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook for anyone wishing to view it remotely.

This year's honorees include Divine Konnections, the Youth Mental Health Day Committee, Teri Morrison, and Mallory Cummings. Each has shown leadership and commitment as they worked to address a variety of public health focus areas.

The awards are presented annually as part of National Public Health Week, which is April 1-7, 2024.

"The role of Public Health and the health needs in our community continue to evolve," said Amy Westbrook, St. Louis County Public Health Division Director. "But the constant in all of this is the importance of community partners who serve with a shared goal of healthier populations and communities. And so we look forward to this week each year when we can recognize those organizations and individuals who work alongside us in public health partnership."
