One person dies in a single vehicle accident.
On March 22, 2024 at approximately 1354 hours, area first responders and law enforcement were dispatched to the report of a single vehicle accident on the Orr Buyck Rd near Myrtle Lake, located in Portage Township, north of Orr, MN.
Upon the arrival of emergency services, the driver of the vehicle, who was the only occupant, was pronounced deceased. Speed appears to be a contributing factor to the accident.
The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of their family.
The incident remains under investigation by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office and St. Louis County Sheriff’s office.

The driver who died in yesterday's motor vehicle accident was identified as 30-year-old, Erikur John Weber Arnason who resided in Hibbing, MN.
