Structure Fire
On March 1, 2024 at approximately 3:00am, Saint Louis County Sheriff's Deputies and area emergency services responded to a residence on the West Brach Road in Pequaywan Township for a reported sauna fire.
The home owners took a sauna at approximately 9:00 pm, leaving a few embers burning in the stove before returning to the house. At 3:00 am, home owners woke to the sauna and a vehicle near by fully engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported and the fire was eventually extinguished by Pequaywan Volunteer Fire Department.
The incident remains under investigation by the St Louis County Sheriff's Office.
