Nadine Wells selected as new Director of Veterans Service Office
The St. Louis County Veterans Service Office has a new director. The County Board on Tuesday approved the appointment of Nadine Wells to lead the Veterans Service Office. Wells has worked as a Veterans Service Officer for St. Louis County since 2017. She served in the United States Army for 10 years, rising to the rank of Administrative Sergeant; and also worked as a civilian contractor in a Military Family Assistant Specialist role for five years.
As Director of Veterans Service, Wells will oversee a staff of nine responsible for serving the more than 13,500 veterans who live in St. Louis County. Veterans Service staff are based out of four offices in Duluth, Hibbing, Virginia and Ely.
"Nadine brings so much dedication and enthusiasm to her work helping veterans," said County Administrator Kevin Gray, "so I'm excited to see all that she will accomplish in this new leadership role. Serving our large veteran community and ensuring they receive all the benefits they've earned is a priority for the County Board, and we are confident Nadine will do this well."
Wells succeeds Tedd Ells who retired earlier this fall.
