Vehicle stuck by gunfire
On September 9, 2023 at approximately 1:00 a.m. law enforcement was dispatched to the report of a shooting near the Lakeland mobile home park located in Biwabik Township. The driver of a vehicle reported that someone had shot out one of his vehicle’s windows.
A short time later a second 911 call was received from a male reporting that a vehicle had rammed into his parked vehicle. The male told 911 dispatchers that he shot at the vehicle with a shotgun.
The shooter was subsequently taken into custody and charged with several felony level offenses.
The driver of the vehicle, who was the only occupant, did not receive any injuries.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office believes that this is an isolated incident and it remains under investigation.
