Groundbreaking set for Tuesday for new shelter to serve families on the Iron Range experiencing homelessness

Representatives from St. Louis County, Range Transitional Housing, IRRRB, the City of Virginia and others will join together for a groundbreaking for a new shelter that will serve families experiencing homelessness in northern St. Louis County.

 

The groundbreaking for the Range Transitional Housing Family Emergency Housing Project will take place:

Tuesday, August 8

11 a.m.

220 5th Street North, Virginia

 

The new shelter will provide short-term housing for four families at a time, and is expected to open in the spring of 2024. Funding for the project comes from St. Louis County ARPA funds and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), COVID funds; and the IRRRB.
