One Vehicle Crash
At around 9:00 AM this morning Deputies were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover on Hwy 21 N just North of Babbitt in unorganized township 61R13. 22 years old Morgan Alexa Heckman was traveling North on Hwy 21 N when she swerved to avoid an animal and her car left the roadway striking a side road embankment. Her car then rolled and struck a tree. She was transported via Babbitt Ambulance to the Ely Hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was later discharged from the hospital.
Babbitt Ambulance, Ely Ambulance, Babbitt Police, Babbitt Fire and US Border Patrol assisted at the scene. North Memorial Helicopter was dispatched, but later canceled.
