Car in the lake Fredenberg Township

On July 4, 2023, at 7:24 PM, local first responders were called for a car in the lake in the 6900 block of Bear Island Road in Fredenberg Township. Upon responders' arrival it was determined that the vehicle was unoccupied. Through investigation it was determined that a 17-year-old male driver, sole occupant, had lost control on the wet pavement, due to recent rain. The juvenile male swerved to miss a tree which resulted in the vehicle going into the lake. He was able to exit the vehicle on his own power. There were no injuries and there were no signs of impairment.

St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Fredenberg Fire Department and Gnesen Fire Departments responded.
