Angle Worm Trail rescue
On 06-01-23 at approximately 1924 hours, Ely area first responders and law enforcement were dispatched to the report of a 77-year-old male who had possibly broken his ankle while hiking.
It was reported that the victim was located approximately three quarters of a mile from the trailhead of the Angle Worm trail, which is located off the Echo Trail north of Ely.
The male victim was carried out by first responders to the trailhead where he was transported to the Ely Bloomenson Community Hospital by ambulance. The exact extent of injury is unknown however they are not believed to be life-threatening.
