Structure Fire 5400 blk Hwy 33 Industrial Township
Local area responders were paged for a structure fire in the 5400 block of Hwy 33 in Industrial Township at 9:48 AM. It was reported to 911 by passerby's that they observed smoke and flames coming from the residence. Fire crews responded and were able to quickly knock down the fire keeping fire damage contained to mostly one room. The residence suffered severe smoke and water damage. No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The residents were referred to the Red Cross for assistance.
The Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office was requested to the scene for a fire investigation. Responding agencies included the Industrial, Grand Lake, Cloquet, Solway, and Air National Guard Fire Departments. The St. Louis County Rescue squad also assisted at the fire scene.
