Rosemount women injured in an accident

On 05-15-23 at approximately 1046 hours, area first responders and law enforcement responded to the report of a single vehicle personal injury accident in the 3400 Block of Vermillion Drive located north of Cook, Minnesota. It was reported that a vehicle had gone off the road, went down an embankment and struck a tree.

Upon the arrival of first responders, they located a 60-year-old, female, trapped inside the vehicle. The female was identified as the driver and determined to be the only occupant. Cook Fire Department members were able to free the female from the wreckage. The female was treated by EMS on scene and then airlifted to a Duluth area hospital for more advanced care with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s office.
