Twin Cities woman dies in snowmobile accident

On 01-07-23 at approximately 1315 hours, area first responders were dispatched to report of a personal injury snowmobile accident. The accident took place on the Bearskin snowmobile trail, located in Morcom Township, approximately 30 miles north of Hibbing.

Upon the arrival of first responders, a 55-year-old Twin Cities woman was pronounced deceased on scene. It appeared the female driver, who was the only occupant of the snowmobile, had lost control while navigating a turn, causing her to strike a tree.

The accident remains under investigation by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office and St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.

Update: 

The female killed in Morcom Township on Saturday, as the result of a snowmobile accident, was identified as, 55-year-old, Albertville resident Nancy Leann Grieman.
