Birth and death certificates now available in Ely
People living in or near Ely now have a closer option for birth and death certificates. The St. Louis County Recorder's Office now offers these services at the St. Louis County Service Center, 320 Miners Drive East in Ely.
"We're happy to have this added service available for our residents in Ely, Babbitt and the surrounding townships," said Commissioner Paul McDonald, who represents the area.
Birth and death certificate services are available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 :30 p.m. Both certified and non-certified copies can be purchased. More information, including a downloadable application form, can be found online at stlouiscountymn.gov/recorder.
